2022 Lexus LS

There are five 2022 LS 500 trims: the base LS 500, the LS 500 AWD, the LS 500 F Sport, the LS 500 F Sport AWD, and the LS 500h AWD, which is a hybrid trim. The base trim features a range of appealing standard exterior features, including triple-beam LED headlamps, LED turn signals and tail lamps, a power moon roof, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. The hybrid trim has a 3.5-liter V-6 engine and a couple of electric motors, for a total of up to 354 horsepower. The hybrid transmission combines a typical four-speed automatic transmission and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The hybrid trim is a Certified Super Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle, with a SULEV III rating.

The non-hybrid engine and valve train contribute to a silky-smooth ride. The rear-wheel-drive LS 500 gets 29 mpg on the highway and 18 mpg in the city, and the LS 500h (the hybrid trim) gets 29 mpg on the highway and 22 mpg in the city.
