2023 Lexus IS

The 2023 Lexus IS comes in two models: IS 300 rear-wheel drive (RWD) or IS 300 all-wheel drive (AWD). Both models have slim LED headlamps, daytime running lamps, LED blade tail lamps, 18-inch split five-spoke alloy wheels, and front and rear all-season tires. Designwise, the 2023 Lexus IS sports an aerodynamic coupe-like silhouette with a low imposing stance, dramatic character lines, and is available in seven exterior colors: Eminent White Pearl, Iridium, Atomic Silver, Cloudburst Gray, Caviar, Matador Red Mica, and Grecian Water.

The IS 300 RWD comes with a 241-horsepower in-line four-cylinder, 2-liter engine, with 258 pound-feet of torque. The IS 300 AWD is equipped with a 260-horsepower V6 3.5-liter engine with 236 pound-feet of torque.

Equipped with an eight-speed Sport Direct-Shift transmission with paddle shifters (IS 300 RWD) or a six-speed paddle-shift transmission (IS 300 AWD), the 2023 Lexus IS can go zero to 60 mph in less than 6.9 seconds. It's also a Certified Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV III), with an MPG rating of 23/31/25 (city/highway/combined) for the IS 300 RWD and 19/26/22 for the IS 300 AWD.

With a focus on comfort and convenience, the 2023 Lexus IS comes with a black metallic interior trim, with NuLuxe synthetic leather seats, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, 44.5 inches of legroom and 10.8 cubic feet of cargo capacity, eight-way power-adjustable driver's and front seats, 60/40-split fold-down rear seat, and illuminated entry. Also included is keyless entry and pushbutton start/stop. Optional upgrades include several NuLuxe interior trim options and a 10.3-inch high-resolution, multimedia touchscreen display. There's also the Mark Levinson premium package, offering 17-speaker, 1,800-watt, 7.1-channel Premium Surround Sound with Quantum Logic.

Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, the highly regarded safety suite, is standard on every 2023 Lexus IS. The system includes several active safety features, including adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance with lane departure warning, automatic high-beam assistance, forward collision warning, and traffic sign recognition. For remote monitoring of the vehicle's safety, health, and maintenance, all 2023 Lexus IS models include a free trial of Lexus Enform Safety & Service Connect. Ten standard airbags, an automatic backup camera with dynamic grid lines, electronic brakes, and power steering are all offered. Premium upgrades include Intuitive Parking Assist with Auto Braking, Rear Cross-Traffic Braking, and a Panoramic View Monitor.
